Cider as a family tradition!
Orchard cultivation and cider have been of great importance to our farm for generations. In addition to traditional mountain farming, the farm-produced cider was already distributed regionally as a second mainstay by great-grandfather Konrad Höllhuber Senior. Through constant further training, the tradition and know-how of generations are combined with the most modern cellar management. We enthusiastically develop original and innovative drinks such as cider, Steinbacher Hugo and Rosante.
Must production is very similar to wine production. In addition to fully ripe fruit, controlled and rapid fermentation is crucial for the quality of the must. We pay particular attention to the special characteristics of the different types of fruit. Our must is bottled at the peak of quality after maturation in the tank.

THE CIDER & SPARKLING WINE
For the production of cider we only use high-quality must with a harmonious residual sweetness. The mild trendy drink gets its fine perlage in our own cider bottling plant. Our cider is an excellent aperitif and can be enjoyed chilled in a champagne glass.
Other fruity variations of our cider are the "Steinbacher Hugo" and "Rosante". The Steinbacher Hugo is refined with homemade elderflower juice, while in the Rosante sour cherry juice provides the fruity aroma.

All varieties are bottled in 0.75l bottles. Apple-pear cider is also available in 0.33l bottles.
Our fruit juices are directly pressed from apples and pears, clarified, filtered and bottled. This is done without any artificial additives. For mixed juices, the apple or pear juice is refined with elderberry, redcurrant or sour cherry direct juice. They are then gently heated, which preserves them.

5x Gold in Wieselburg

The whole family is happy!
Austria's best must producers compete at what is probably the most important special fair for direct marketers in Wieselburg (Lower Austria). Around 500 samples were once again tasted by an international jury of experts.
This year we are once again among the winners and are happy to have won 5x gold for our must, juice and cider.
