Time and again you come across traces of the past in the national park - remains of buildings, dilapidated tunnels, old ironwork. In Weißwasser, deep in the Hintergebirge, there was a mining settlement where 1,000 people once lived. Come with me on an exciting journey through time. After a visit to the Unterlaussa miners' house, we go to the original scenes of the mining settlement. Our hike then continues into the national park to the world natural heritage sites. Here it becomes clear how quickly nature covers up human traces.
