Directions:The starting point for the typical Schlierbach walking route is the village square. Pass the monastery, go up to the Kalvarienberg chapel and just before the Haslinger houses enjoy the wonderful view over the Kremstal from a rest bench. Then follow the forestry road to the right up to the former snack station Zeisl.
If you head right from Zeisl, the towers of the Cistercian monastery will show you the way into the forest, and you will follow the shady path to the edge of Schlierbach village, returning to your starting point.
Tip:Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - Schlierbach train station: By train, you reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.

From Vienna/Salzburg: A1 towards Linz > A9 Pyhrnautobahn - exit Inzersdorf.
From Linz: A9 Pyhrn motorway - exit Inzersdorf
From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn > exit Klaus > federal road B 138
Public Transit
Arrival with the Pyhrnbahn, there are stops in Schlierbach, Kirchdorf/Krems and Micheldorf.
