Knife Makers Museum in Steinbach an der Steyr

- All weather
- Suitable for groups
The handicraft museum of the bladesmiths, grinders and knifemakers is located directly on the Steyr River in the former workshops of the knifemakers' guild.
The Handicrafts Museum tells of the times when the knifemakers' guild in Steinbach an der Steyr flourished. Until 1967, the Steinbach knifemakers created true works of art here in the knife factory Fanz Pils & Söhne under the toughest working conditions. Now the "Knife Museum" presents the craft of the knifemakers and bladesmiths, their importance for the people and the development of their settlement on an exhibition area of over 200 m2.
- Ground floor: Knife making
- 1st floor: The life of the knifemakers, their customs and club life
- 2nd floor: Historical development, knifemakers' guild, trade connections of the "Golden Steinbach", guild and church
