This extensive hike leads from the parking Bamacher, at the Nina hut east on the forest road and on a path to the Burgspitz. From Burgspitz you stay on the ridge and hike south over the Kleiner Almkogel and the Brunnbacheck to the Almkogel. The hike leads back again for a short distance and then descends to the left to the Ennser Hütte and on the trail back to the starting point.Directions:
From the parking Bamacher the hike leads up on paths through the forest. After about 1/2 hour and after crossing the forest road twice, you will reach the Nina hut. The shortest way to the Ennser Hütte would be from there straight on via the path. This extended circular hike continues on the forest road east towards Burgspitz. In a road bend, the path leads up to the ridge and from there on the left side the Burgspitz is soon reached. From Burgspitz you stay on the ridge and hike south over the Kleiner Almkogel and the Brunnbacheck to the Almkogel. The hike leads back along the same path for a short distance and then descends to the left to the Ennser Hütte and back along the path to the starting point.Tip:
Weyrer Bögen: The hike leads over a part of this geological feature. The mountain range from Gaflenz - Spindeleben and Lindau Mauer - to Weyer/Unterlaussa - Bodenwies - does not run from west to east but from north to south. On the ridge between Burgspitz and Almkogel this phenomenon can be seen very well.Equipment:
Drinks should always be in your luggage anyway. But we also recommend to bring a small snack, because the stop at the Ennser Hütte is in the last part of the hike.Additional information:
Along the ridge you can discover orchids and other botanical treasures.
