Day butterflies and their habitats in the Kalkalpen National Park
Over 1,600 butterfly species flutter in the Kalkalpen National Park, more species have yet to be recorded anywhere else in Austria. The day butterflies love the flower-rich habitats and the open, natural forests. If, during wet and cold weather, the butterflies are hard to spot, we will focus more on their habitat requirements and nectar plants during the tour.

Equipment:

• Weatherproof clothing
• Hiking boots
• Please bring a small snack and drink
• Binoculars and a cup magnifier are recommended

Requirements: The guided tours on the fixed dates are reserved for private individuals. We ask groups of 10 people or more, companies, schools or other organizations to contact the respective visitor center.

Meeting Point: will be announced upon registration

Opening hours: 1 p.m. to approx. 5 p.m
