Description:

This hike leads along the edge of the Kalkalpen National Park past the Ennser Hut to the highest summit of Großraming, the Almkogel, with 1513 m.
Hiking trail: 492, E10, E11

Directions:
From Großraming train station, hiking trail no. 492 initially ascends past the Kronstein farmhouse over meadows and through forests to the Bamacher parking lot. From there, it continues on a forest trail and path, with breaks often rewarding you with wonderful views. From the hut, it is about 45 minutes to the summit of the Almkogel. A fantastic view over the Kalkalpen National Park, the Gesäuse National Park, and the Upper and Lower Austrian Alpine foothills awaits you.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region - Großraming train station: By train, you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 2 hours from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna. For train arrivals, we recommend the return route via Stallburgalm to Küpfern.
