Description:

The path leads from the town center along a lightly trafficked goods road to "Wieden", ascending through the Bürgertal to the Forsteralm and then onward to the Amstettner Hut (922 m). From the Amstettner Hut, the trail returns to parking lot 2 of the Forsteralm, then to Oberland, and from there back to Gaflenz.

Variant: From parking lot 2 of the Forsteralm, a shorter ascent is possible.

Directions:

The path leads from the town center of Gaflenz towards the train station. Passing the Stubauer inn, you hike along a lightly trafficked goods road to "Wieden". Ascending via the Bürgertal, you reach the Forsteralm and then continue to the Amstettner Hut (922 m). From the Amstettner Hut, the path returns to parking lot 2 of the Forsteralm, then to Oberland and from there back to Gaflenz.


Variant: From parking lot 2 of the Forsteralm, a shorter ascent is possible.

Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region - Gaflenz Station, Oberland Station: By train, you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 2 hours from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
