Dine-around programme


1 - Welcome champagne in the night watchman's restaurant
One or two night watchmen in traditional costume with halberd and lantern await the guests with the famous night watchman's song "Alle meine liabn Herrn und Frauen, lasst Euch sagn: ...". They then accompany the group on the night watchman's dine-around through the eventful past of the romantic medieval town of Steyr to very special surprise locations:

2 - Ascent to the parish church tower
Over 228 steps with breathtaking views over the old town

 3 - Appetiser in the Steyrer Kripperl
Performance of medieval craft scenes by the oldest still-performing rod puppet theatre (since 1850), 455 figures, dialect, approx. 10 min.

4 - "Steyrdorf-Suppe" by candlelight in the Michaelerkeller 
2-storey vaulted cellar from the 15th/16th century, barrel rooms, spherical paving, former wine cellar of St. Michael's Church, presentation of the oldest existing film material of Steyr, colourful Steyr lanterns to take away, medieval music.

5 - Main course and dessert in the night watchman's restaurant
