Description:

Starting from Losenstein, this circular route leads mainly on meadow and forest paths. Views of Losenstein and the castle, into the gentle hilly landscape of the National Park region, and the mountains of the Hintergebirge invite you to linger.


Hiking trails: E75, E74a

Directions:
From the town center, it goes uphill to the Losenstein indoor swimming pool, then along a stretch of road from which you can circle the mountain on hiking trail E74a by the Riegl farm to the Fatima Chapel. From here, a detour to the cider fountain on the Ramlerhöhe is highly recommended. Then you continue the loop back at the Fatima Chapel and return to the starting point.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region - Losenstein train station: By train, you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and about 3 hours from Vienna.Equipment:
No refreshment options along the way, so bring drinks and snacks if needed.Additional information:
This hike is especially beautiful during the fruit tree blossom.
