Guided herb hike "We like weeds for eating"

The herb walk takes us along the promenade next to the Gaflenz stream to the "back" of the Güldener Märkt'l Weyer, which is little known to tourists;

We pay particular attention to those plants that otherwise tend to go unnoticed or even become a nuisance: the weeds. Stinging nettle, goutweed and chickweed are full of healing substances and taste good too. Once we have learnt to appreciate these wild herbs and their value, we may even be able to welcome them into our gardens. So that we can test the flavour of the "un-herbs" not only fresh from the meadow, the Steineck restaurant prepares a menu with wild herb garnish on request.
