Guided herb hike "With wild herbs to St Sebaldus"

Weyer, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Herb hike followed by a wild herb snack on the Heiligenstein

We hike along meadows and through species-rich forests to the Heiligenstein. This historic elevation between Weyer and Gaflenz is home to the popular pilgrimage church of St Sebaldus with an adjoining snack station;
The path to the 782 metre high Heiligenstein is lined with flowers and wild herbs. With the knowledge of the herbalist, we look at the colourful flowers and juicy leaves from both a culinary and medicinal perspective: nettles can be used to make tasty lemonade, spruce needles help with coughs and dandelion can be used as a coffee substitute. 2Page 24 Information as at January 2024 Subject to change This herb hike is not just about collecting knowledge, it's also about picking herbs and taking them home. The collected treasures can be used to refine curd cheese, sheep's cheese and breads at the snack station on the Heiligenstein;
