During the abbey tour, we will show you the abbey rooms such as the Bernardisaal, the library, the abbey church, the cloister with the Schlierbach Madonna, the cheese factory, and the stained glass.
Finally, you will taste the various Schlierbach organic cheese specialties in the panorama.

Since 1999, organic cheese varieties have been produced in the Stiftskäserei.

The original "Schlierbacher" is the oldest cheese variety that has been continuously produced since 1924. It is a surface-ripened soft cheese with a red culture.

Program:
During the tour, we will show you the Stiftsräumlichkeiten such as the Bernardisaal, the library, the cloister with the Schlierbacher Madonna, the cheese dairy, and the stained glass gallery followed by a cheese tasting.

We also offer our guests cheese and wine tastings accompanied by a knowledgeable cheese and wine sommelier.

by car:
West Highway (A1) from Salzburg, Passau, or Vienna to the Voralpenkreuz exit, then continue on the Pyhrn Highway (A9) to the Inzersdorf exit, then on B 138 towards Kirchdorf to the turnoff to Schlierbach.
Coming from Graz, take the Pyhrn Highway (A9) to the exit in Klaus a/d Pyhrnbahn, then continue on B 138, turn right towards Schlierbach after Kirchdorf. After about 2.5 km, turn right to Schlierbach, 1 km to the town center.
