On the local mountain of St. Ulrich near Steyr, the Damberg (811 m) is the Dambergwarte. The tower is 36 meters high and offers a wide panoramic view of the pre-Alps and the Alpine foothills.

Already in 1869, the Alpine Club erected a 21 m high tower, which was replaced by a new one in 1888. In 1921, it was taken over by the Beautification Association. The second building was closed in 1932 and demolished in 1934. In 1971, the plans for today's 36 m high viewing platform were completed. The opening took place on October 1, 1972. The last renovation took place in May/June 2014.
