Living Monument - Hoisn House - Molln

The Hoisn House on the outskirts of Molln was once one of the largest Mouth Harp forges in Molln. Lovingly restored by the "Friends of the Hoisn House" association, the building now offers insights into "the life of the mouth harp forges of the past".

Visitors are invited to explore the herb garden and relax and linger in the old orchard with its paths and places.

The Hoisn House should be a "LIVING MONUMENT" and a place,
where old values are carried into the future,
where people come together and chat,
where celebrations are held and events take place,
where it becomes cozy and
where they are invited to be part of it.

The Hoisn Haus in Molln is an old, originally preserved Jew's harp production facility and invites you as a visitor to enjoy a pleasant gathering. The rooms tell the story of Jew's harp production, which has been conducted here since the 17th century. Let yourself be transported to another world.

The Steyr Valley is served by bus lines 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d. Steyr) and 433 (Steyr-Molln-Kirchdorf).

From Vienna: A1 motorway exit Haag > B42 > B122 > B140 into the Steyr Valley
From Passau: A8 Passau > Wels > A9 motorway exit Sattledt > Kremsmünster > Bad Hall > into the Steyr Valley
From Graz: A9 Pyhrn motorway > motorway exit Klaus > into the Steyr Valley

Coming from the Steyrtal federal road (B 140), drive along Mollnerstraße (towards Molln) over the bridge over the Steyr River. You are now on Buseckerstraße, where you turn left into Piesslingerstraße just before the ASZ (old material collection center) on the left side. Follow the road for about 500 meters and then take the second entrance on the left into Maultrommelstraße.
