Burgfels Climbing Garden
A little special feature: at the end of the "Ramazotti" tour, there is actually a bottle of Ramazotti hanging from which anyone who clips the belay is welcome to take a sip.
Burgfels closed from 1 April - 31 July
For nature conservation reasons - nesting time of the crag martin, which is already very rare in Upper Austria - the Burgfels is closed to climbing during the main breeding season from 1 April to 31 July. Outside this period, climbing is allowed without restrictions.

Best time of day/year
A real tip for spring or late autumn. The location under the castle ruins and the orientation to the southwest provide a thermal under the walls that still allows climbing in a T-shirt when it is already or still shady all around.
Rock texture
Limestone with many ledges
Ambience
Directly under the walls of the castle ruin of Losenstein
Distance
from the church 200 metres
from Steyr 22 km
Access
From the car park facing the castle rock - past the left end of the wooden stone protection wall - in 2 minutes to the entrance. Stay on the trail to the rock wall and avoid stepping on the semi-dry grass.
Important advice
Helmet recommended, rock next to the routes partly fragile, danger from falling objects directly below the castle viewing area!
