Wasserturm

Steyr, Oberösterreich, Österreich
This yellow tower was built in 1572 to supply water to the fountains and buildings at the upper and lower Stadtplatz.  The pumping facility installed in the tower was a marvel of engineering at the time. Later the tower began to incline and for safety reasons it was shortened by a third of its original size in 1909.
