Description:
This hike leads along the edge of the Kalkalpen National Park past the Ennser Hütte to the highest peak in Großraming, the Almkogel at 1513m.

Trail number: 492, E10, E11



Directions:
From the train station in Großraming, hiking trail no. 492 initially leads uphill past the Kronstein farmhouse, across meadows and through forests to the Bamacher parking lot. From now on, the trail continues on a forest path and climb and breaks are always worthwhile to enjoy the wonderful view. From the hut it takes about 45 minutes to reach the summit of the Almkogel. A fantastic view of the Kalkalpen National Park, the Gesäuse National Park and the foothills of the Alps in Upper and Lower Austria awaits you.

Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - train station Großraming: By train you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 2 hours from Linz and in about 2.5 hours from Vienna. If you arrive by train, we recommend the way back via Stallburgalm to Küpfern.
