Description:
From Trattenbach railway station, the trail leads steeply uphill through the Feitelmacher valley towards Alpengasthof Klausriegler and from here across the meadow and through forests to the mountain ridge to Schoberstein and Schobersteinhaus (1,285 m).
Variants: By car to the car park at the Alpengasthof Klausriegler.

Directions:
From Trattenbach railway station, the trail leads through the Feitelmacher valley past the stations of the museum village of the same name. In front of the church, the trail branches off the road to the left and joins the road above. After a short stretch on the road, the trail climbs somewhat steeper towards the Alpengasthof Klausriegler (walking time to the inn approx. 1 hour).
From here the hiking trail continues uphill initially across the meadow to the Schoberstein and the Schobersteinhaus (1,285 m).

Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - railway station Trattenbach: By train you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and in about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
Additional information:
Many paths lead to the Schobersteinhaus and they can be combined into extended circular hikes with magnificent views.

From Passau: A8 Passau > Wels > A1 motorway exit Enns-Steyr > B115 into the Enns Valley
From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn > motorway exit Klaus > Grünburg > into the Ennstal valley
Public Transit
The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.
