Description:

Trail number: HD6, E88, E89

Directions:
From Trattenbach, the first 1.5 km of the hiking trail lead along the Enns cycle path to the Wendbach turn-off. The tour continues through the romantic rocky ditch, where ore was once mined, until a signpost on the left indicates the marked but steep path to the Nixloch.

It leads to a meadow, crosses a forest road and winds up through abandoned cultivated land to the Hintsteiner farm. Shortly before this, a narrow forest path branches off to the left and at the same time a new forest road section to Nixloch. Immediately after Hintsteiner, turn right into the forest road and, at the edge of the forest, turn right again up a beautiful but somewhat steep trail to the summit of the Hohe Dirn.
