Rundweg Bauer in Reith

Description:
From the town square of Schlierbach, walk behind the monastic walls along the Kreuzweg to the Calvary Chapel and from there to the Haslinger houses. On forest roads, through forests over pastures you will reach the farmer in Reith and through the wooded Käfergraben back to the starting point.

Directions:
From the town square of Schlierbach, walk behind the monastic walls along the Kreuzweg to the Calvary Chapel and from there to the Haslinger houses. On the forest road Piereck you go immediately left through the quiet, shady forest to the Bognersteg.

Now you go uphill through the forest and then across a pasture to the Mitterhaus. Passing Zwieselberg and Wörtner, follow the signs to the "Bauer in Reith", where you can take a leisurely rest.

The farmstead "Bauer in Reith" is a cooperative pasture of the Oberschlierbach farmers with a small snack offer (note individual opening hours). Strengthened by farmhouse snack specialties, you then take the path through the wooded Käfergraben to return to Schlierbach via the village of Dorff.

Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - railway station Schlierbach: By train you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and in about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
