- Refreshment stops available

This loop starts at the Brunnbachstadl, leads briefly on asphalt and then right across the meadow and over a small bridge into the forest. Later you pass the Rauchgraben farm and cross the Schafgraben to the parking lot at the Brunnbach barrier and return to the starting point on the road.
Trail number: E48
From the parking lot, the trail leads a short distance on asphalt and then right across the meadow and over a small bridge up the forest. For a short distance it goes over an asphalt road, past the Rauchgrabner farm, then continues through the forest until you reach the Kreuzweg.
The circular route leads left across the Schafgraben (E 48 / 488) down to the parking lot "Brunnbach Schranken", from where you follow the road back to the starting point.
Variants: At the Kreuzweg you can leave the circular hiking trail in the direction of Große Klause. From there you could continue hiking to the Ebenforstalm or via the Triftsteig and Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm.
