Circular hike in the Kalkalpen National Park from the Weißwasser parking lot along the Hintergebirgsradweg to the Schleierfall, over the Hochschlacht - only for experienced hikers - to the Anlaufalm and over the Drei Bilder and the Hirschkogelsattel back to the starting point
From the Weißwasser parking lot in Unterlaussa, go downstream through the gorge and through several tunnels. Right at the Schleierfall, the trail leads through the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm and over the Drei Bilder and the Hirschkogelsattel back down to the starting point.
On the forest road, it first goes downstream through the gorge and through several tunnels. Right at the Schleierfall, the trail leads up through the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm.
You are rewarded with impressive views into the core area of the Kalkalpen National Park, and the Hochschlachtbach with smaller and larger pools and waterfalls is a constant companion.
After about 1.5 hours of ascent, you reach the pasture floor of the Anlaufalm. The Anlaufalm, located in the heart of the Kalkalpen National Park, is at 982 meters above sea level and is managed from May to October.
Directly from the Anlaufalm, the round route goes briefly uphill to the east again and then passes by the Drei Bilder and at the Hirschkogelsattel turns right on the forest road to descend the valley back to the starting point.
