The topic of appreciation accompanies the pilgrim at every station; practical impulses help to adopt an appreciative basic attitude oneself and to learn to empower others and become stronger oneself, so every pilgrim can take away their own experiences.

The Sebaldusweg is not only a pilgrimage route but also a path with a lot of nature and culture. Along the route, the hiker will find 7 churches, 2 pilgrimage churches, 30 chapels, museums of the Eisenwurzen Upper Austria and countless natural treasures.

Circular route of approx. 86 km and around 3,200 m elevation gain

Overview Stage 1

Starting point Weyer, stage destination Losenstein 

Path surface: hiking trail, asphalt, forest road

Distance: 26 km,  elevation gain: approx. 800 m

Weyer marketplace – Katzensteiner mill – on the Enns cycle path (R7) to Großaming - Großraming – Menweg – Gschoad – Stiedelsbach (Nagelschmiede) – village square Losenstein

Distance: 30 km, elevation gain: approx. 1,400 m

Losenstein – Kirchenberg – Fatima chapel – direction Sauzahn – Brettertal –  village square Laussa - Sonnberg – long-distance hiking trail 04/06 – wind park – Spadenberg – Glasenberg – Maria Neustift

Distance: 29 km,  elevation gain: approx. 1,300 m

Maria Neustift   – Krifter – direction Freithofberg – Neustift saddle – direction Großgschnaidt – snack station Hochramskogel – direction Lindaumauer – slabs towards Neudorf – Lindau – Thalhof – Dornberg path – Gaflenz - cross path – Heiligenstein – via Heiligenstein hiking trail to Weyer –  Weyer
