Description:

From the town center of Ternberg, the hiking trail leads through the district of Brunndorf up to the Reitnerberg and back to the starting point via the Paukengraben. Trail number E82a leads over the Königsattel to the Koglerhof inn and Brettmaisserhof guesthouse or to Mühlbach (Waller Chapel).

Directions:
The path first leads along the federal road through the district of Brunndorf, then right over a meadow path ascending to the Güterweg Reitnerberg junction. Continue on the paved road to the Hintstein farmhouse, over the Hintsteiner Chapel to the Braunreith farmhouse with a magnificent view of the Alpine foothills as well as the Upper Austrian lowlands up to the Mühlviertler mountains. The path back to the town center of Ternberg leads along the Paukengraben.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region - Ternberg train station: By train, you are at the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
