Leisurely hike from the Scheiblingau car park on the forest road into the Bodinggraben and on to the picturesquely situated Blumaueralm.
Directions:
The hike starts at the Scheiblingau car park and leads upstream for about 1.8 kilometres along the Krumme Steyrling into the Bodinggraben. After the first gorge-like part of the trail, the valley opens up and the Bodinggraben welcomes the visitor with a cultural highlight, an ensemble of buildings with the Rosalia Chapel, Jagahäusl, Adjunktenstöckl and the stately Bodinggraben forester's lodge.
Those who wish can take a short detour from the Jagahäusl to the Bodingen and the vantage point on the Rotwagwiese. (Hiking trail, not barrier-free!).The trail continues along a forest road, past the Bodinggraben forester's lodge, to the Blumaueralm. It lies idyllically below the steep, rocky northern precipices of the Sengsen Mountains.
If you wish, you can continue along the road to the Umkehrhütte (Feichtaualm path entrance). The Blumaueralm is not managed.Follow the same trail for one and a half hours back to the starting point in Scheiblingau.
Equipment:
Sturdy shoes, poles, tea and snacks if necessary, as there are no stops along the way.
