Description:

Start from the Brunnbach parking lot (near Großraming) - via the Brennhöhe to Anzenbach - via Hintergebirgsradweg and Wilden Graben to the managed Ebenforstalm - overnight stay at Werfneralm.

Directions:
The 2-day riding route starts from Brunnbachstadl towards Reichraming via the "Brennhöhe" to Anzenbach at the Anzenbach gate. From here the path continues via Moaralm on the track of the former forest railway (Hintergebirgsradweg) to the Ebenforstalm junction. After crossing the bridge over the Großer Bach, the forest road winds up over the "Wilden Graben" to the Ebenforstalm. The alpine area is fenced off, please reliably close pasture gates – cows graze here (they are accustomed to riders and horses). The managed Ebenforstalm invites you to rest. Here you are pampered with various alpine delicacies and enjoy a beautiful view of the steep northern cliffs of the Sengsengebirge and the forest-rich Reichraminger Hintergebirge. The route then leads back along the same path over the alpine pasture down to the pasture gate and on the already known path to the Klaushof junction. From here it is only 2 kilometers to the Werfneralm hut – the idyllic overnight accommodation located in the middle of the Kalkalpen National Park. Overnight stay only possible by prior reservation. RESERVATION with Traudi Gösweiner, Moar im Hof, mobile +43 664 44 25 263Tip:
Please do not forget to save the route "offline" before you start (top right), as mobile reception in the forest wilderness of the National Park is not always available.Safety guidelines:

Use of riding paths is at your own risk. Scenic elements (mountains, valleys, rocks, gorges…) are natural hazard points and require reserves when planning time.

Riding rules:

- Riding is permitted in the National Park from 15.04. until 31.10. – on other riding paths year-round – from two hours after sunrise until one hour before sunset.

- Only ride on marked routes! Riding is a special nature experience. Wild animals do not run away from the rider. They consider him a strange kind of animal. However, horses are not always predictable when encountering animals, hikers, and cyclists. Therefore, riding in the National Park is only allowed on marked riding routes!

- Reliably close all pasture gates.

- Many riding routes are also designated as cycle paths. Always expect oncoming cyclists or motor vehicles.

- Some routes are long and the terrain is partly steep. Please do not overestimate yourself or your horse and do not forget sufficient provisions.

- Please understand that compliance with the usage instructions and possession of a valid day or annual badge will be checked.
