From the Klausriegler Inn in Trattenbach, this well-marked hiking trail leads steadily uphill, across a pasture, through forests, and then across a high plateau to the summit of the Schoberstein (1,285 m). In the immediate vicinity, the Schobersteinhaus invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
Note: At the Alpengasthof Klausriegler you have to pay a parking fee. With consumption you get a token to drive out.
Variant: Extension by a good hour, if you start from the train station Trattenbach. This takes you through the museum village "Im Tal der Feitlmacher".Tip: With the descent via Mandlmais and Scheibachfall (mostly forest road), this summit tour becomes a circular hike.

From the Klausriegler Inn in Trattenbach, this well-marked hiking trail leads steadily uphill, across a pasture, through forests, and then across a high plateau to the summit of the Schoberstein (1,285 m). In the immediate vicinity, the Schobersteinhaus invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
Tip: With the descent via Mandlmais and Scheibachfall (mostly forest road), this summit tour becomes an extended circular hike. From the Schobersteinhaus, continue along the mountain ridge in an easterly direction to the Koglerstein/Schinder and down through the forest, past the idyllically situated Mandlmais Chapel and later the Schreibachfall on the forest road back to the starting point.
