Description: Starting at the Kirchdorf post office, this walk leads to the train station and through the railroad underpass. To the left, the trail continues up the Krems River and the return path leads via Verschönerungsweg back to the town center.Hiking trail: K2
Directions: This walk starts at the Kirchdorf post office and leads through the town - via Hauptplatz and Redtenbacherplatz and Sengsschmiedstraße - directly to the train station. Continue through the railroad underpass to Dierzerstraße, continue left to Kaplanstraße and Lauterbacher Straße. There you keep left to Kirchenmühlstraße. This leads past the sports field to the Krems bridge. The way back leads along the "Verschönerungsweg", through an avenue of chestnut trees, past the "Mayr Chapel", over the bridge, through the railroad underpass to the tennis courts and from there back to the city center. This path is also suitable for people with walking difficulties and with baby carriages. A number of benches invite you to take a break.
Tip: Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - Kirchdorf/Krems train station: By train you can reach the starting point for this hiking tour in about 1 hour from Linz and in about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
