Directions:The Brunnbach route follows the very popular Ennsradweg R7, first rather flat downstream to Großraming.
Those who choose the short stage can start at Großraming station.
Shortly before the rafting village, a turn leads to the impressive suspension bridge (5 min. on foot). Then it continues past the carriage museum and the nativity scene exhibition to Reichraming. From the town center, you ride on the paved road past the Arena Schallau about 6 km to the Anzenbach parking lot. Here begins the Hintergebirgsradweg in the Kalkalpen National Park, which offers a beautiful view of the many enchanting bathing spots along the Reichraming stream. It is not paved but very well rideable. After 2 km, turn right to the Große Klause, once the central timber rafting facility in the Hintergebirge.
The Klaushütte, which served as accommodation for the woodworkers, invites you to stop here. Open in good weather from Wednesday to Sunday.
After the break, continue for about 6 km on the same route back, then turn right towards Brunnbach with the Brunnbachstadel, which is mostly only open on weekends. From there, it goes about 1 km steep uphill to the Brunnbach church and further over the Gschwendthöhe with the beautiful chapel briskly downhill via the Lumplgraben back to Großraming. On the Ennsradweg R7, the loop leads back to Weyer and Gaflenz.
Those who are already tired can take the train home.
Safety guidelines:Please note: Along the route, extensive signage has largely been omitted for environmental protection reasons. Map and GPX data provide the necessary security.
Equipment:Bicycle helmet, first aid kit for rider and bicycle
