Directions:
From Gaflenz first via Breitenau to the Weyer road maintenance depot, then left to Pichlhöhe. Via the new Saurüsselstraße to Kleinhollenstein.

From Weyer, drive from the market square through Hollensteinerstraße and directly to Saurüsssel and Kleinhollenstein.

Turn left there for a few hundred metres until you reach the Ybbstal cycle path. This leads downstream to Opponitz (turn right at the Bruckwirt). From there, take the Kleine Kripp to Großprolling and Kleinprolling. Then turn right uphill at the Kleinprolling junction, past the Theuretzbach estate and over the hill to the pilgrimage destination of Maria Seesal.

After an inner contemplation in the church, you can also stop for physical refreshment in the nearby Krumpmühle mill.

The route continues along the road to Ybbsitz, which boasts the parish church, a mighty late Gothic hall church, as well as many other sights and places to stop for refreshments.

The "little Ybbstal cycle path" leads to Gstadt railway station, then on to Waidhofen in the town and back to Gaflenz and Weyer.

If you want to make the route shorter, take the train from Waidhofen town railway station back to Gaflenz or Weyer.
