Stallburgalm

Surrounded by four peaks, the Naturfreunde - Hütte Stallburgalm (1032m) is located on an idyllic alpine pasture below the Burgspitz (1429m) in Weyer in the Upper Austrian Enns Valley. Many hiking trails criss-cross the densely wooded area, which is characterised by a particularly varied alpine flora.  From the summits you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Tote Gebirge, the Gesäuse and the Ybbstaler Alps.

Sleeping is in a six-bed room or in the camp. There are separate toilet facilities and a washing trough (not separate) with hot water. Dogs are allowed to stay overnight, but you have to go outside the hut to smoke. Mobile phones only work in certain places, electricity is available.

Manuela and Josef take care of the guests' well-being with tasty soups, snacks and pastries. The popular wood-fired oven roast, hut dumplings, meat on a plate and much more are also available to order in advance.

Due to the good connection (from Küpfern station - access approx. 2h), the Stallburgalm is also an ideal destination for schoolchildren and families travelling by train and thus also a good starting point for multi-day tours.

In winter, the Stallburgalm is a popular destination for ski tourers and snowshoe hikers. From the nearby peaks you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Tote Gebirge, the Gesäuse and the Ybbstaler Alps.
