Attention! Due to a rockfall, the hiking trail is closed until further notice!
The circular hike passes old castles and ruins along the wild romantic Grabenweg to Altpernstein Castle with a magnificent view over the Upper Kremstal. Then it continues to the Eustachius Cross, to the Marien Chapel, along the Prälatenweg to the Josefswarte and back to the starting point via the Musikersteig.
Hiking trail: K91
Anyone who loves the romance of old castles and ruins will enjoy this hike.
The hiking trail leads past Alpenbad to the wild romantic Grabenweg, at the beginning of which is the farm "Zu Steinern." Follow the K91 marking through the Graben up to Altpernstein Castle and enjoy the magnificent view over the Upper Kremstal from the castle terrace.
Above the castle, a path that is only initially somewhat steep leads to the Eustachius Cross, and the forest road takes you to the Marien Chapel and a unique panoramic view of the Sengsengebirge. Via the "Prälatenweg," you reach the Josefswarte, an ideal rest stop.
The narrow "Musikersteig" leads you back to town with its cozy places to stop for refreshments.
