Description:

The hike leads from the parking lot back to the Hamberg farm and on Alpine Club Trail 467 past Sonnkogel on an almost level forest road to the summit of the Hohe Dirn (1,134 m), then continues to the Anton Schosser Hut and back to the starting point.

Directions:

The hike starts from the first parking lot (opposite the Hohe Dirn settlement) back on the road to the Hamberg farm, from where trail 467 leads up towards Hohe Dirn, past Sonnkogel on an almost flat forest road to the summit of Hohe Dirn (1,134 m). Then follow the forest path to the Anton Schosser Hut, from where the circular route returns via Almboden and forest road back to the parking lot.

From Vienna: A1 motorway exit Haag > B42 > B122 > B115 into the Enns Valley


From Passau: A8 Passau > Wels > A1 motorway exit Enns-Steyr > B115 into the Enns Valley


From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn > motorway exit Klaus > Grünburg > into the Ennstal Valley


Public Transit
The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.

Parking

The parking lots at Hohe Dirn require a fee!


Parking from the Weiderost area at the transformer station is only allowed in parking lots B and D.
