The south of our region is home to the beautiful, impressive Kalkalpen National Park with 15,600 hectares of unspoilt wild nature. The national park offers manifold activities for visitors, such as extraordinary hikes and guided tours with our national park rangers to unique wilderness areas boasting a rich diversity of animal and plant life. The pristine beech forests have recently been designated as a UNESCO world natural heritage site.
