Time out on the Sebaldusweg

Take time to pause and come to rest on the Sebaldusweg. Hike lightly through the wonderful natural landscape and to cultural and historical sights in the Ennstal National Park Kalkalpen region.

The Sebaldusweg is not only a pilgrimage route but also a route with plenty of nature and culture. Along the route, hikers will find 7 churches, 2 of which are pilgrimage churches, 30 chapels, museums of the Eisenwurzen Upper Austria and countless natural treasures. The highlight of the trail is a visit to the pilgrimage church on the Heiligenstein in Gaflenz, which is dedicated to St. Sebald - the namesake of the trail. The hosts and restaurants along the way will spoil you with cultivated hospitality and down-to-earth, homemade delicacies made from regional products.
