The museum shows the history of poaching from the Middle Ages to the present day, complemented by the depiction of a regional tragedy, the Mollner  poaching drama.

Numerous exhibits document the relationship between landlord and subjects, the Lamberg dynasty, the liberation of the peasants in 1848 and hunting and poaching.
