Our hut is located on the hiking trail to the Almkogel and is open all year round. At 1295 m you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Kalkalpen National Park from our sun terrace. Our local mountain is the Almkogel at 1513 m which offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view over the surrounding mountains.
Numerous hikes, beautiful summit destinations (Almkogel, Burgspitz, Hühnerkogel...), the Kalkalpenweg and also a mountain bike trail lead to our hut.
The south-facing orientation of our hut gives us our dreamlike sunsets which you can enjoy on the sun terrace in summer and winter. In the cosy guest room, heated with a tiled stove, everyone will find a place. We still cook in the traditional way with the wood-burning stove. This is where we cook our hut delicacies, which you can enjoy here.
For tours lasting several days or just for the hut party in the evening, the Ennser Hütte offers rooms and campsites.
May-October: MO day off
July-August: throughout
November-December and March-April: FR - SO and continuously from 28.12 to 6.1
We spoil you with down-to-earth Austrian cuisine, good drinks and freshly tapped Zipfer beer from the barrel. We source our quality products (partly organic) from farmers & suppliers from the National Park region.
Our dishes are carefully and freshly prepared in the wood-fired oven. Hearty soups, snacks and traditional hut dishes, there is something for everyone. We serve our "guat's Holzofenbradl" (wood-fired baked beef) in advance (minimum order 10 people)! For a sweet finale, we spoil you with homemade pastries.
