The hut of the AV-Sektion Amstetten, which is also easily accessible with prams, is located near the border between Upper and Lower Austria. Located on the Fosteralm, the mountain hut is 50 years old and is ideal for hiking.
In winter, the Amstettner Hütte is a popular destination for ski tourers and skiers in the Forsteralm ski area.
Ascent: Car park 2 Forsteralm 1/2 hour, from Gaflenz 1.5 hours.
Sleeping places: 30 camps
Car access: to car park 2 Forsteralm
Summer
Open Thursday to Sunday, public holidays and 11 November. On request also on the other days.
Winter
December, January and February from Wednesday to Sunday and public holiday, on request from 10 persons also on the other days. Open throughout the Christmas and semester holidays (also on 24 and 31 December)!
