Above all conventions that arise and are left behind again, the intimate handling of the materials, its properties, its own life and the proportionate use of the intellectual demands of the performing artist is at the center of the action. In my work as a printmaker, I am always passionate about reconciling the sensuality of handling with the mutability of function, form and content. Not to succumb to the cheap charms of quickly withering optical sensations, but to make a quiet claim to permanence of a newly created element.
