In addition to the state fishing license, a fishing booklet for Upper Austria (valid for 1 year in Upper Austria) is required.

Well-structured powerful water body approximately 30 m wide and 5.1 km long along the village of Grünburg. The river course is characterized by large weir structures, the so-called "Haunoldmühle" in the upper section, the "Steinbacher Wehr," and the "Humpelmühle," which also marks the end of the area.

The fish population is dominated by brook and rainbow trout. In typical sections, you can find the famous "Steyr grayling."
