High, extremely imposing and highly visible rock face in the Pechgraben near Großraming, with perfectly secured routes up to 5 pitches. South-facing slabs and wall climbs. The Wolkerlmauer was extremely popular and well visited during and shortly after its development at the beginning of the 1990s, but incomprehensibly soon fell into complete oblivion and has only been visited sporadically for some time.
Best time of day/season Spring and autumn, too hot in summer, too cold in winter
Rock condition Compact slab limestone with ledge, friction and crack climbing, technically very demanding.
Ambience Somewhat "alpine" ambience with partly uncomfortable entry area and access to the routes via fixed ropes or other routes. Perfect for lovers of well-secured multi-pitch routes.
Access At the moment, access is very difficult, as there is no path and much of the route is overgrown. A new access will be built next spring.
Distance 4 km from Großraming / 5 - 7 minutes driving time
