In 1830, Eugen Prince von Lamberg had a stone house built as an official residence for hunters and accommodation for hunting guests. In 1879 it was remodeled by Franz Emmerich Count von Lamberg into a spacious log house. Today it is in the care of the National Park warden of the Federal Forests and his family. The remarkable historic facility has been preserved to this day and can be visited on guided tours (more information at www.kalkalpen.at).
