Directions: Start opposite the Landhotel Eckhard, to the right of the gas station. Follow the signs "Mountainbikestrecke Damberg" and ride on a flat gravel road past houses to the Mayr farm. Continue left on the asphalt road and shortly after on the gravel road up into the forest always in the direction of "Damberg". After about 3 km you reach a crossroads, turn sharp right here, continue uphill and then for a long time in gentle ups and downs across the wooded northern slopes of the Damberg. You pass above the Laurenzi Chapel and about 570m after that turn right towards the Schwarzberg. It goes straight over a hill and at the junction with a forest road left up to 16% steeply up to the Hertlerwiese. Here turn right and after 110m you can decide in which direction you want to go around the Scharzberg. Once you have gone halfway around the Schwarzbeg, use the cart path over a meadow saddle as a connection between the forest roads.Back at the already known Hertlerwiese, turn left back on the access route, but after 560 m continue straight on in the direction of "Garsten" and down through the steep Höllgraben (ignore all side turn-offs). Always out of the valley until Dambach, where you turn right after the playground and soccer field and return to the starting point via Auerstraße.
Safety guidelines: Inquire in advance about any road or trail closures along the route.
Equipment: Sun and rain protection, repair kit for minor bike breakdowns.
