Description:
The short forest loop in Sulzbach can be extended via numerous forest paths. At just under 10 km and 316 metres in altitude, the loop is ideal for a short, technically easy run through the Trichtlgraben and Vorderbergergraben.

Directions:
We start at the bus stop right next to the Derfler inn, walk back a few hundred metres and then turn left into Reicherstraße, which we also walk along for a few hundred metres. At the first bend, however, we walk straight ahead, leaving the tarmac road into the Trichtlgraben. The route continues along the stream on a moderately steep path through the ditch until we reach forest roads at the end of the Vorderberger Graben, which we follow for the next few kilometres through the forests of the Spadenberg. The loop then leads us back to the Vorderberger Graben. We walk back along the same path and soon return to our starting point.

Tip:
Refreshments available at the Derfler inn right next to the bus stop in Sulzbach.

Equipment:
The required equipment always depends on the particular tour and the weather conditions. Regarding the food: This is very individual and it is recommended to have rather too much than too little with equipment and food. For a 5km round in the valley you need less than for a demanding tour in the mountains. The weather can change quickly and if you are not constantly on the move or need to take a break, for example, warming clothing is of great importance.

We have a general checklist for you here:

weather-appropriate running gear for the season - weather forecast - region - elevation. This includes: * a waterproof rain jacket * a waterproof rain trousers suitable for running * Gloves and warm headgear (hood/headband/towel). * sunglasses + sunscreen + headgear for very warm days
