The holiday apartment is located in a former farmhouse built in the 14th century, which has been modernized and remodeled throughout its eventful history. Today, there is no farming taking place in Unterbrandlberg anymore. The traditionally Upper Austrian four-sided farm is situated in complete seclusion amidst green meadows and pastures. On clear days, the view extends far into the Mühlviertel.
Our accommodation is nestled in the gentle hills between the Enns and Steyr valleys in beautiful Steinbach on the Steyr. The proximity to the Kalkalpen National Park, as well as to the ski areas Wurzeralm (approximately 45 minutes) and Hinterstoder-Höss (approximately 35 minutes) and to Steyr (approximately 25 minutes) makes our accommodation the ideal starting point for your family vacation. In Steinbach, there is a public outdoor swimming pool, two inns, a small supermarket, several open (free) bathing spots on the Steyr, and a well-developed network of hiking and cycling paths. The Grünburger Hütte is about 2.5 hours away on foot at a leisurely pace from the front door. The Schneeherrgott, a popular viewpoint, is about 40 minutes away and can be reached by stroller except for the last short section (approximately 50 meters).

Coming from the A9 motorway, take the exit Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn and then drive towards Molln. Follow the road through Molln and continue towards Steinbach an der Steyr. Just before or within the locality of Steinbach, follow the signs towards Hochegg.
