Hardly anyone will tell you more about the varied past of our medieval town than the Steyr night watchwomen and men. Wearing traditional clothing they accompany you through the wonderful old town recounting stories and legends of the past – and climbing up to the top of the parish church spire you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view over the rooftops of the town!
Guided by our night watchwomen and men, our Dine-around takes you on a very special culinary journey to surprise destinations.
A night watchman in traditional costume with halberd, horn and lantern guides you through the medieval romantic town of Steyr with all kinds of stories and legends.
After climbing to the top of the parish church spire, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the roofs of the town!
The Night Watchman Dine-around is a special culinary journey to surprise locations. After a welcome with a glass of sparkling wine, we climb the tower of the city parish church. Then it's on to the Steyrer Kripperl for a short presentation. The starter is served during a short performance of medieval craft scenes.
The Steyrdorf soup is served to the accompaniment of old Upper Austrian music in the atmospheric Michaelerkeller. The journey ends in a cosy atmosphere with a main course and dessert in the night watchman's restaurant.
