A temple complex was already built on the Geogenberg in Celtic times, and the Romans also left their mark. Parts of the excavations carried out in 1953 are still visible behind the sanctuary.
Today, the Georgenberg church is a popular destination for excursions. Every two years (end of April), the Georgiritt takes place. Riders dressed in splendid, ancient costumes and decorated horses parade through the village up the Georgenberg.A1 Autobahn to Sattledt, A9 Autobahn to Inzersdorf,
