At that time, the village was called "Golden Steinbach". It is said that the people of Steinbach were so rich that they had golden shoe laces. But maybe it was just the sunset that put Steinbach an der Steyr in a golden light.
When the houses nestle against the waters of the Steyr at sunset, visitors can still experience how the flair of "Golden Steinbach" comes back to life.
