From Scheiblingau near Molln, you hike to the Jagahäusl, then on to the Ebenforstalm via the Alpstein and the Großer Trämpl and Schaumbergalm, and finally back to the starting point.
From the Scheiblingau parking lot, follow the Krumme Steyrling along the forest road to the Jagahäusl. The starting point Bodinggraben itself is worth a trip. The water-spouting “Maul-auf-Loch”, the former hermitage, the stately forester's house, and the romantic Anna Chapel give this valley a special charm.
On the climb to the Ebenforstalm on path no. 472, you see where this ravine gets its name: water-caused erosion in the rock—so-called troughs (locally “Bodinge”)—characterize the gorge landscape. At the Ebenforstalm (open from early May until the end of October), every hiker can enjoy a hearty snack.
Those who still have enough strength can continue hiking to the Alpstein (1,443 m) and the Großer Trämpl (1,424 m). Here you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Sengsengebirge and the Hintergebirge. After this summit victory, you hike back via the Schaumbergalm down to the valley. It is worth taking a break at the “Jagahäusl.” The mountain hut snack and a glass of cider perfectly complete the hiking experience.
Along the Krumme Steyrling, you reach the forest road and, after a short walk, return to the parking lot.
